Open Xiangqi Tournament in Hanover

Organiser:

‘Xiangqi Hannover’ on behalf of the German Xiangqi Federation (DXB).

This tournament counts as a qualifyer for the German Individual Championship 2023/24 for the players which are members of DXB.

Mode:

6 rounds in Swiss system with a time consideration of
50 minutes +10 seconds per move.

Schedule:

Saturday, 11.11.2023

Time frame: 12:00 to 18:00 hrs

Sunday, 12.11.2023
3 rounds
Time frame: 09:00 h to 15:00 h

Award ceremony 15:30 h

Entry fee:

The organiser will charge a fee of 20 Euros for the rental of the premises.

Students of all kind, participants without work as well as family members are exempt from this fee.

Accommodation:

There are several hotels closely placed to the tournament venue.

Savoy, Mercure, NH.

Catering:

Coffee and cold drinks will be offered at the venue. Small snacks will also be provided by the organisers.

On Saturday evening, a dinner for all participants is planned at the Greek restaurant “Platia”, five minutes’ walk from the tournament venue.

If you are interested, please let me know on the spot. The host must be informed promptly of the required number of reservations.

Arrival:

This is unproblematic: the tournament venue is about 15 minutes’ walk from the main railway station; the nearest tram stop is “Christuskirche”.
